Pricing and Our Process

We breed with excellence and the highest integrity. Each pairing is carefully planned, keeping in mind the breed standards set forth by the most respected Australian Labradoodle breed associations (ALAA and WALA). We focus on health, temperament, structure, and coat quality. We operate on a guardian home structure, which means that all of our breeding dogs live with their very own forever families. River Days Australian Labradoodles will never operate as a kennel– EVER! Happy, healthy, well loved and cared for parents produce healthier puppies. We strive for excellence in our dogs, our customer service and in the relationships we build with the families who entrust our family with whelping and raising their canine family member(s). Our breeding dogs undergo health and genetic testing to minimize risk to families and our puppies. We are socially responsible and require spay/neuter of all companion puppies. You can rest assured and trust our program for transparency, prompt communication and excellent customer service. We understand the level of trust our prospective puppy families place in us and we take our responsibility seriously.

Puppy matching occurs at week 7. We reserve the right to hold back any puppy(s) for the betterment of the breed/our program. Breeder always has first pick. Based on your application responses, your family bio and information collected during our interview, we will match you with puppies whose personalities/temperaments best match your family, taking into consideration your other preferences such as color and gender. We want our puppies and their new families to have the best chances for success! If your family lives a quiet and reserved life, you aren’t going to be happy with the most playful puppy in the litter regardless of color. If you enjoy adventures, you aren’t going to enjoy a reserved puppy, regardless of gender. We will know the personalities well by 6-7 weeks old and we’ll aim to tick all the boxes for you. If that does not happen in the current litter, you are welcome to move to another litter without losing your $500 reservation fee.

$3000 final payment is due by the time the puppy is 6 weeks old.

If you are purchasing a puppy who is old enough to go home, you will need to pay in cash to receive your puppy. If you wish to pay by personal check, you will need to wait at least ten days before you receive your puppy (pending funds clearance).

We do NOT ship our puppies, as we do not believe shipping is in their best interest. We are in central NC, which is a reasonable driving distance for residents of NC, VA, SC and portions of other surrounding states. You are welcome to pick your puppy up at our home, or we may be able to meet you if you are coming from one of the states mentioned above. If you are from another state and flying in, we can meet you at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). To make for a smooth trip for you and your puppy, we will ensure that your puppy is acclimated and ready to travel in a soft-sided airline carrier prior to going home. Depending on the location, for an additional fee, we may be able to meet you at your local airport. We will be as flexible as we can in helping you receive a River Days puppy. So, feel free to discuss options with us, as needed.

Every puppy from River Days Australian Labradoodles comes with a contract that includes, but is not limited to, the following:

All companion puppies are sold on a strict Spay/Neuter agreement that is fully enforced. With respect to the well-being of the puppy, our veterinarian does not perform early spay and neuter (ESN), as she does not believe that it is in the best interest of young puppies. We follow her advice.

We do our best to ensure that our puppies go to wonderful forever homes. Our contract is strict that under no circumstances should one of our puppies/dogs be relinquished to a shelter. If a dog must be relinquished, you must return the dog to River Days Australian Labradoodles.

Breeder reserves the right to perform due diligence to ensure that puppies are going to families who will prioritize the safety and health of the puppy. The breeder may reject a family at any time throughout the process, at the breeder’s discretion, if concerns for the puppy’s safety and welfare present.
